Ten best ideas for a great tourism

Ten winners of the grants of the competition "Ten great ideas for great tourism of Novi Sad" have signed contracts at RAZVOJNA BANKA VOJVODINE today with the Foundation THE STATE OF EXIT for the realisation of awarded projects to improve the tourism of Novi Sad. Winners of top 10 projects are going to receive 1,000 EUR each in dinar countervalue, for the realisation of projects before the Festival as well as during the Festival.

Wishing to improve the image of a modern and socially responsible bank, this year, RAZVOJNA BANKA VOJVODINE is a partner of EXIT festival which promotes Novi Sad, Vojvodina and Serbia in a positive light.

“EXIT has survived all the difficult times behind us as a brand of Vojvodina, Serbia, and as one of the best festivals in Europe should have financial support. A lot of nice entries on how to improve the tourism in Novi Sad came to the address of the competition of the Foundation, which means that there are many people with good ideas. It is commendable that many young people entered the Competition with their work, who care for the change and the image of the city and our country, and who are proud that Novi Sad is a distinct destination for young people from Europe and the world”, said the President of RAZVOJNA BANKA VOJVODINE a.d. Novi Sad Biljana Jovanović and gave her sincere congratulations to the winners.

After several days of deliberation and consideration of great proposals, a three-member jury comprising of the representatives from RAZVOJNA BANKA VOJVODINE, The State of Exit Foundation and an independent member, made a decision on the best proposals for the improvement of tourism in Novi Sad.

Convinced of the exceptional potential of all the candidates, the Jury thinks that in addition to the ten selected, there are several other proposals that could be realised. The common desire of RAZVOJNA BANKA VOJVODINE and the Foundation THE STATE OF EXIT is that past competition should be just a trigger for ever richer tourist offers in Novi Sad and Serbia.

Over 50 application forms came to the address of the Foundation for this competition, and the following ten projects will receive grants amounting to 1,000 Euros in dinar countervalue:

1. BICYCLE TOURING (Nebojša Đorđević)
The project of developing cycling tourism in Novi Sad. Organised bicycle touring, before and during the Festival, which would take the tourists to the most interesting tourist places and historical sites around the city.

2. MYSTERY SHOPPING (Futurism d.o.o./Ivana Ćuruvija)
Inspection of service quality in economic entities, involved in providing services in tourism, mostly hotels and other catering facilities. A mystery shopper looks at the quality of service with the eyes of an average customer and reveals critical points in the business.

3. HIDDEN TREASURES OF PETROVARADIN (Višnja Kisić), "SUBURBIUM" project partner
Maps of Petrovaradin with "hidden treasures". Visitors are actively involved in touring Gradić, and those who fulfil all the tasks and find treasures from all the locations on the map, enter an out-of-the-hat competition and can win valuable prizes.

4. MOBILE PATROL (Srđan Dakić)
Mobile application for smartphones, which provides information about prices of selected products or services in the nearest environment of users. The users specify the extent of territory which they are interested in, and the application offers the information about the product that they search.

5. RE - 8DESIGN PARK (Design Studio "TM Popović")
This is a group work of thirty designers who will display their works in one place. Around thirty papers on the topic about redesigning, recycling and reconstruction will be displayed as a group work. Souvenirs with an eco message will be available to the visitors at reasonable prices.

6. SIMPLE MAPS (Ljiljana Popadić)
Simplified maps on which basic information that would serve the guests during their stay in Novi Sad could be found. The maps would include: streets, boulevards, restaurants, hotels, hostels, halls of residence, taxi stands, interesting tourist destinations.

7. HOSTEL ROOKIES (SUR Rookies / Žarko Živković)
The aim is changing the residential facility owned by SUR "Rookies" into a hostel.

8. FAMOUS PEOPLE OF NOVI SAD (Boris Radivojkov)
Printing posters - life-sized photographs of famous personalities like Laza Telečki, Mileva Marić Einstein, Jovan Jovanović Zmaj, Maria Theresa ... Apart from the posters, mini brochures in different languages with interesting information and a description of each person will be handed out. Visitors would get a free picture taking as a memento of the EXIT festival.

9. ASK ME (Jelena Farkić-Jovanović)
A group of ten students dressed in ASK ME T-shirts will be in charge of providing service and other information to the tourists in Novi Sad at the busiest five locations in the city six hours a day.

10. EXPLORE & ENJOY NOVI SAD (Igor Markov and Jasmina Dimitrijević)
Social game meant for foreign visitors to EXIT festival who will stay in the camp during the event. The goal of the game is familiarising players with significant sites of Novi Sad, with its culture and tradition.
